Louisiana Covering Kids & Families
would like to invite you to attend our
Statewide Coalition Meeting
on
Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 10:00am - 2:00pm
at the Galvez Building Conference Center,
602 N. Fifth Street, Baton Rouge, LA
Please join us for a special statewide coalition meeting that will start
off the continued efforts of Covering Kids and Families.
The coalition has undergone an important transition and needs your input to help to reduce the number of uninsured children and adults and improve health education and access for families in Louisiana.
Special guest speakers will include:
Dr. Frederick P. Cerise, M.D., M.P.H.
Secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals
Sarah C. Shuptrine
Founder, President and CEO of the Southern Institute on Children and
Families

Lunch Will Be Served.
Parking will be available at the Galvez Parking Garage which is located
across North Street from the Galvez Building. Parking will be validated
at the meeting.

Louisiana Covering Kids & Families (CKF) is a project funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (www.rwjf.org) to increase the number of children and adults who benefit from federal and state health care coverage programs. CKF coalitions work with health professionals, educators, faith-based organizations, the business community, social service agencies, philanthropies, and policy makers to reach families and inform then about the no cost health care coverage available in Louisiana .

In Louisiana our programs provide coverage for children through the Louisiana Children’s Health Insurance Program, commonly known as LaCHIP, and for pregnant women through LaMOMS.
